If you are a regular reader of this blog, then you know we are all about Delivering Marketing Joy! At Hasseman Marketing it is our mission. We want to provide a great marketing experience for our customers, from beginning to end. But Delivering Marketing Joy has evolved into so much more, so we thought it might be helpful to sort it out! Delivering Marketing Joy, The Book: Yes! One of the early ways we started to spread the Delivering Marketing Joy message was through the book. Delivering Marketing Joy (the book) is a all about how to do your next Promotional products campaign well. Kirby discusses the in’s and out’s about why promo works…and even has case studies about others in the industry. This is a must read for anyone in the promo industry (in our humble opinion) but is also great for anyone that wants to be more effective in creating these campaigns! Delivering Marketing Joy, The Web Show: Next up came the Delivering Marketing Joy Web show. Each week, Kirby interviews different leaders, entrepreneurs, authors and marketers on how to do business better. The response has been fantastic! These interviews give the viewer an insight into what makes great business (and marketing) tick. You can see the entire list of episodes here. And let’s face it, it will be much more productive for you to binge watch this, than Netflix! Oh, and if you never want to miss an episode, feel free to subscribe to the Youtube channel here! Oh, and our Web Show just won a PPAI Silver Pyramid Award, so we are super pumped about that! Delivering Marketing Joy, The Podcast: Since we began the Web Show, we have had requests to turn it into a podcast so people could listen in on the go! So…as of the beginning of this year, we created the DMJ Podcast. But we decided to take it to the next level! So each business day, Kirby gives a quick 5 to 10 minute podcast designed to inspire and educate, and give a little “kick in the pants!” On Wednesday, we share the audio from the Web Show…so you still get that too! There are several ways to listen…so please check us out on iTunes here. You can also find us on Soundcloud as well. We want to provide real value for you each day, so let us know how we are doing! It would mean the world to us if you would subscribe! So that’s Delivering Marketing Joy…so far. Here’s to making 2016 the best year yet! Want to keep up all the time? Make sure to join our VIP List! We hope everyone has had a wonderful Holiday season. It is a crazy time of year when we all have so many things to do, and not enough hours in a day! With the New Year fast approaching now is the time to think about how to finish out the year productively…and start the New Year off right. So here are 4 reasons to make a Promo Purchase in the last few days of the year! New Year/New Prices: A New Year often brings higher prices. Take advantage of the current pricing and start planning now, and start 2016 off prepared! If you know you are going to need the swag, the only reason to wait is to pay more. Your call! Left over budget: Most organizations have a “use it or lose it policy” when it comes to budgets. Don’t leave money on the table that could help your business grow next year. Co-op Budget: Co-ops usually have the same policies as budgets. And this is even better because another partner helps to fill the need! Don’t miss out on some great deals simply because you forgot to check the numbers! The Event You Forgot: I am sure it has NEVER happened to you, but some people forget things! 🙂 Often they sneak up on us after an extended holiday. Start the New Year off right! Check those calendars and look for any early year events that you have planned. Order now, better pricing and can help relive any stress in the beginning of the New Year! So there are just 4 reasons to consider filling up your promotional closet before the beginning of the New Year. If you can think of any more, let us know. But if this triggers something in you…give us a call! Want to keep up all the time? Make sure to join our VIP List! Our VIP’s get an email with the latest content…and other special offers as well. It’s time for the Weekly Update of Content here…and we hope this gives you some information, inspiration and insight! Stop Looking for a Reason: As a culture, it seems like we are angry or offended about something new nearly every day. So if you want to be more happy, stop looking for a reason to be pissed. Weekly Word: If you want to be lifted up in life, the best way is often to lift up others. So the Weekly Word this week reminds you to Encourage others…you will be glad you did. After it Stops Being Fun: With every new project, there is a sense of excitement and learning. But at some point, you get tired. What do YOU do after it stops being fun? Delivering Marketing Joy: This week we take a look at some great advice from several leaders in the sales world. Check out this “greatest hits” edition of Delivering Marketing Joy! Adapt To Your Environment: The marketing world is changing fast today. There are new ways to get cut out…and opportunities as well. How are you Adapting to the Environment? Keep Your Head on a Swivel: You may have heard this saying on a football field, or in a movie. But today you learn how you can “keep your head on a swivel”...and think of others. 7 Business Books To Read: Kirby has been on a mission to read 50 personal development and business books this year. But what if you don’t have time to read that many? Here are 7 that might help you build a great organization. Today’s To Do List: Each day you may put together a “to do list” that helps you complete tasks during the day. I have been on a quest to read 50 business and personal development books this year…and the process has been awesome. I have learned a ton (and you might expect) and it has inspired me to use my time wiser, try new things and launch new projects. If you want the complete list of my 2015 books (so far) you can check that out here. But many of my friends have asked me to narrow this list. “If you only had time to read one book, which one would it be?” It’s a fair question, but I thought I might narrow the list differently. So I decided to look through the list and narrow them based on subject matter, so you might be able to select that way. Here goes! Entrepreneurial FinanceProfit First was one of the most impactful books I read all year. If you have a Master’s in economics, this might seem rudimentary. But if you are like me (and most entrepreneurs I know) this represents a new way of thinking that makes more sense to me. We changed the way we do finance in our company based on this book. I could not recommend it more! Business Model ChangeThe Automatic Customer was another thought provoking book for me. It made me think of ways I might create new revenue streams in my own business…and what kind of businesses I might look at next. Mainly, it got me thinking. I love that. Social Media MasteryThe Art of Social Media has a great mixture of basics and advanced techniques that are applicable right away. You get a dose of philosophy but a big helping of tactics in this easy read. The Art of Hustle10X Rule is the ultimate kick in the pants type of book. If you are not creating the kind of success in your life that you want, Grant tells you it’s because you are not taking enough action. I recommend to listen to this one while running, driving, etc. and you will find yourself wanting to work harder. Content MarketingIf you want to be a Content Marketing Jedi, then you need to read Content Inc. I really like the way Joe Pulizzi explains it…and lets you know the end game. He also does a great job of giving you success case studies and reminds you this is a long game process. Sales Process and DesignThe Sales Acceleration Formula is a great reminder that we need to think about sales differently. Mark Roberge designed a process driven sales strategy with Hubspot that made me think differently. Good stuff. I will need to read this one again! Delivering Marketing JoyYes…that is a category! I would be remise if I didn’t put my book on the list, right? If you want to learn how to do Promo right, this is a good one...but consider my bias. 🙂 As you can see, I read a lot of other books too. But hopefully this narrows the field down a bit for you. Let me know if you have other books you know I should read! And that is how we do it. Want to keep up all the time?
