Episode 100 of Delivering Marketing Joy

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for! Hasseman Marketing celebrates Episode 100! We are all excited about our guest speaker, Mr. Seth Godin. This man is a legend in the marketing world and is very famous for his popular blog. Seth is also a Best Selling Author and has written eighteen books that have been translated into 35 different languages. Please take the time to check out these amazing works.  In Epidode 100, Seth Godin reminds Kirby to make a ruckus! Mr. Godin states that if you don’t want to be viewed as a commodity, then focus on what exactly people want. Find out something you provide that only you can provide, and then align that with what the customer wants. He also states that if you’re giving of your time to the community, then you are not taking part in a privilege. According to Seth, you cannot give in a world where everyone just takes stuff. He states that he would rather live in a world where everyone teaches and pays it forward.   Seth Godin touches on his heroes and explores the differences between heroes and mentors. He encourages everyone to checkout his blog, Heroes and mentors.   According to Mr.Godin, we will most likely give and give, but we will never get our share in return. People shouldn’t give for the purpose of expecting their business to improve. He believes that the only way to improve your business is by making it the only one they will choose. Each company needs to find something that customers would say sets them apart, which is where the higher pay margins will come from. Kirby also gets Seth to discuss the altMBA program, in which people are taught to see the world differently; to speak and be heard.   Don’t miss the opportunity to hear Seth Godin’s ideas about content marketing. Use this experience to give advice to people who don’t want to invest the time preparing, and just want to sell something now! Want to keep up all the time?  Make sure to join our VIP List!  Our VIP’s get an email with the latest content…and other special offers as well.  Join here.

Why giving matters?

The majority of businesses including Hasseman Marketing give back to their community either with monetary funds or volunteering. Well why bother? If companies kept all their profits they would become more wealthy right? Hasseman says no, what type of company would we be if we didn’t contribute. Our community supports us and allows us to survive, without this Hasseman marketing wouldn’t last.  In Three Reasons Community Matters for Small Business Success, Amanda Brinkman covers why it’s important to be in a good community. Helping the community prosper along with the business is vital.  Don’t forget about something called Corporate Citizenship! We are rooted in the community, a vital part and because of this we have a duty as citizens to keep our district prospering. Making sure that we do not damage the area with anything we could be doing. Hasseman Marketing has very strong Core values and Beliefs when it comes to their community. In these are written, “We want to improve what we touch. We believe we should leave our communities better than we found them.” This is something we strive to do! Giving back is a privilege not an obligation. Every company should be proud of their community and take steps to improve on it. Anything we can do to make a difference, making sure we create better conditions around us. Giving back can also impact your business in a positive way. Allowing employees to volunteer their time will help improved employee morale. Any form of help that the business can provide will create positive PR and help you become more connected.  Check out, Why Giving Back to the Community Should Be a Major Goal for All Businesses. Want to keep up all the time?  Make sure to join our VIP List!  Our VIP’s get an email with the latest content…and other special offers as well.  Join here.

Weekly Word "Sample"

The Word of the Week is “Sample!”  In this video, Kirby discusses how providing a sample will put you on the top of your game. With all the technology available today, companies are able to create great visual features to engage clients in a presentation. Although the visual aspect is important, it’s been found that hands-on touching of an item helps to sell it; besides, everyone likes to see what they are buying. Allowing someone to engage all of their senses to examine your product helps in the decision process.  So don’t be nervous about reverting back to the old fashioned sales pitch, because that is what works. Hasseman Marketing provides samples of all their products when marketing. In fact, Hesseman has a whole room filled with samples that we enjoy pulling out for our clients so they can see what they are buying. Don’t be afraid to have faith in your own efforts and resources, (which we covered in last week’s Weekly Word). If you have the sample on hand, why wouldn’t you bring it? Often the final decision of whether a customer is willing to buy a product depends on their opportunity to touch and examine the product. Unfortunately, in many cases computer software can be used to manipulate items in appearance and quality.  Allowing a customer to see the product offered often allays all fears.  So go out and start selling more…and don’t forget to add a sample! Want to keep up all the time?  Make sure to join our VIP List!  Our VIP’s get an email with the latest content…and other special offers as well.  Join here.
