Word of the Week "Help"

The Word of the Week is “Help!”  In this video, Kirby discusses how important it is to ask for help. Sometimes it can be very difficult to ask for assistance, especially if we want to appear confident in our field. Kirby warns against feeling this way; all experts have asked for help at some point during their journey. A bigger person can ask for guidance, understanding that they will benefit from it. Requesting help is also a strong tool in sales, most people would be shocked how truly powerful it can be. Nothing brings down barriers more than asking someone for assistance. People generally want to be helpful.  Many people will go out of their way to perform an act of kindness. No one wants to view themselves as unhelpful or selfish. People want to help you….so use that truth to grow your business. In return, you have a responsibility to help those in your industry as well. Use your knowledge to help people when you see them struggle with something that might come easily for you. Expanding their understanding can help equip them to be useful in the marketplace. Give back, and guide the next generation of entrepreneurs to dodge those obstacles you have already faced. Maybe you can help these new businesses learn from your mistakes. Want to keep up all the time?  Make sure to join our VIP List!  Our VIP’s get an email with the latest content…and other special offers as well.  Join here.

Delivering Marketing Joy episode 107

This week in Episode 107 of Delivering Marketing Joy!, Kirby interviewed Janet McMaster from Geiger. Janet shared three tips that all sales rock-stars have in common.

  1. Identify plans and goals
  2. Possess fearlessness and confidence
  3. Hustle, don’t ever stop

In the video Janet discussed the best ways to help other people grow their sales. In order to make it as a sales person, you must believe in the industry you’re selling for and communicate this to your clients. Truly believe in the products you’re selling them; if you feel that the product isn’t all it is cracked up to be, people will figure it out. Make sure you bring value to your customers. This is critical when trying to ensure a repeat purchase.  Janet stated that a sales individual needs to take a minute and determine their strengths and passions in sales. This will be easy for them to communicate to their clients and will convey their true excitement of a particular product. Sometime in this field, it is prudent to understand that not every customer is a good fit….you need to sometimes let them go. Kirby and Janet also discussed the industry changes throughout the last ten years, including topics ranthing from globalization to transparency. They also addressed what is now expected of companies because of the changes in industry. Want to keep up all the time?  Make sure to join our VIP List!  Our VIP’s get an email with the latest content…and other special offers as well.  Join here.
