The Word of the Week is “Sample!” In this video, Kirby discusses how providing a sample will put you on the top of your game. With all the technology available today, companies are able to create great visual features to engage clients in a presentation. Although the visual aspect is important, it’s been found that hands-on touching of an item helps to sell it; besides, everyone likes to see what they are buying. Allowing someone to engage all of their senses to examine your product helps in the decision process.
So don’t be nervous about reverting back to the old fashioned sales pitch, because that is what works. Hasseman Marketing provides samples of all their products when marketing. In fact, Hesseman has a whole room filled with samples that we enjoy pulling out for our clients so they can see what they are buying. Don’t be afraid to have faith in your own efforts and resources, (which we covered in last week’s Weekly Word). If you have the sample on hand, why wouldn’t you bring it? Often the final decision of whether a customer is willing to buy a product depends on their opportunity to touch and examine the product. Unfortunately, in many cases computer software can be used to manipulate items in appearance and quality. Allowing a customer to see the product offered often allays all fears. So go out and start selling more…and don’t forget to add a sample! Want to keep up all the time? Make sure to join our VIP List! So you are hosting an event, what is a sure fire ways get people to register early? Early bird registrations help in planning and saving money in the long run because of more accurate ordering of supplies, meals, etc. A knowledge of the numbers expected also decreases stress in planning for rooms, layouts and signage. Not having early bird registration makes you essentially work in the dark, and not knowing how many will be coming makes it impossible to plan accordingly. Obviously, the more individuals you can get to sign up ahead of the event, the simpler your day will be! But how? One of the best ways to do this is by offering a product as an incentive to register early for an event. This will increase your event’s registrations because of the perceived increase in value with the combination of the gift and the product. People will perceive that they will lose a bonus gift if they register later. This is an amazing motivator, and will ensure people take the time to sign up promptly. Nervous about making the decision of what promotional product will be best? Work with your promotional product consultant in order to choose your perfect item, and set the registration deadline so you have enough time to order the exact quantity and have the product on hand at check-in. This will allow you to please your clients that have taken the initiative to register for the gift.

This year is the 15th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001. Known today as simple 9/11 where many American lives were lost. This Sunday we honor the men and women who lost their lives. We at Hasseman Marketing want to encourage everyone to take time to respect the sacrifices these individuals made. Their loss should never be forgotten!
Communities all over the country are remembering this day through events that bring people together. Discover what your town is doing for this important day! One of the ways that we have decided to make an impact is participating in the Columbus 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb. There is a sign up fee for everyone that takes part in the memorial. All proceeds go to benefiting the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
In this stair climb we honor the FDNY firefighters, police, and EMS who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live on 9-11-2001. We will be climbing the same number of stairs they did in the Twin Towers. The building chosen for this year is the Chase Tower a 24 story building. To reach 110 flights, we will climb 5 times. Be sure to dress for a workout if your not a from a department!
Being married to a firefighter I have witnessed firsthand the emotional strain that these losses take on family members. Firefighters and the public travel throughout Ohio to this event. Every Firefighter puts on their gear to finish the climb for those who will never make it back home to their families.
Nothing moves me more than watching firefighters carrying more than 100 pounds of equipment walking up stairs with silent tears running down their faces. This opportunity is full of stirring moments that make you proud to be an American! I would recommend if you’re not doing anything yet, please join!

This week in Episode 99 of Delivering Marketing Joy!, Kirby Hasseman interviews Charity Gibson from Green Banana Social and Next Products. Charity is known as a disrupter, meaning she is always looking for a new way to do things. During the interview, she discusses changes that she sees coming in the next few years regarding the industry. Charity believes that e-commerce will rise along with retail driven products. Businesses need to work with suppliers in order to keep themselves relevant. The idea is to make its suppliers want to keep us in the chain, instead of selling directly to buyers. There will always be a need for commodity products. People who buy in bulk don’t want to spend that extra dollar for pointless frills. Charity warns that companies need to watch out for the changes coming so they can be prepared. Both Kirby and Charity agree that in business, you need to pick a lane. Find what you’re good at and stay there. In other words “Find your Niche!”In this Episode, Charity states that most people are doing social media correctly.
Charity considers that many people are not doing it wrong. She states that being authentic is critical in social media. She encourages everyone to be themselves; this is what comes naturally to those writing the posts. She upholds the conviction that “Not everyone needs to like it, just the right people.” When you go into Business you only need to attract certain people. During the interview Charity discuss what it is like to be part of Promo Kitchen. She loves being with everyone there because the atmosphere is so diverse. She believes that the ideas generated from Promo Kitchen are helping guide companies into the future. Having people from different skill levels helps new ideas flow. Finding different ways to aid the industry allows them to stay relevant, by looking at a problem from different angles. Want to keep up all the time? Make sure to join our VIP List!
